Memorial Show for Artist, Paul Gentry

River Gallery in Independence will host a memorial show in honor of Paul Gentry (1954-2020).

The reception on Sunday, May 15, will open at 1:30 pm with a talk by Henry Hughes, “Paul Gentry’s Life and Work.”

Paul Gentry was a nationally recognized artist and longtime resident of Independence. A renowned wood engraver, his work has been exhibited at Portland Art Museum, Library of Congress, Smithsonian, Whitney, Guggenheim and many other institutions.  His engravings and paintings appear in WOU's Bellamy Hall and Old P.E.

River Gallery will exhibit and offer for sale an array of Gentry’s work. The gallery is located at 184 S. Main Street, Independence.
