About the Event

These projects will be taught by Sarah R. Westlund.

This week I will be offering two yarn projects, which include techniques of weaving, at two different levels of difficulty:

1. Mini Cardboard Loom

For this first project Mini Cardboard Loom (project provided by MetKids on YouTube) the kids will be weaving yarn on a mini cardboard loom.  I have already prepared the cardboard looms with the white yarn “warp”, as shown is the first image above.  The kids will then be able to weave the “weft” with rainbow yarn, like shown in the second photo above.

2. Yarn Hearts

The other project option Yarn Hearts (project provided by RedTedArt.com) will be more suitable for the younger kids.  I have already prepared the plates with the heart cutouts and hole punches, and the kids will be able to weave rainbow yarn.

...

I have both projects individually packaged in ziplock bags with all the materials needed and printed instructions, in case families decide to complete the project home.
